Middlehurst Station is the gateway to the popular Molesworth Track/Acheron Road. The 207-km high-country journey, from Blenheim to Hanmer Springs follows the Awatere River, then crosses Wards Pass to follow the Acheron to its confluence with the Clarence River. The area is rich in history, stories, rare flora & fauna and is set against a backdrop of mountains, glacial outwash plains, hanging valleys and waterfalls.
Leisure activities popular in this area include, Four Wheel Driving, Mountain Biking, Tramping, Horse Trekking, Rafting, Fishing and Hunting. The area can also be enjoyed in a more leisurely fashion from the comfort of a mini coach, with guided tours available.
Middlehurst Station is also an easy day trip by road from Blenheim and Kaikoura. Or if air travel is preferred travel by either Helicopter or Plane can be arranged.
